Sedana Yoga Group's story

The Sedana Yoga group is located in the village of Baturiti, Tabanan, Bali. This area usually has very high rainfall and most of the members are farmers who plant various kinds of vegetables. In this dry season, a lot of the farm production is not optimal. Seeing this situation, the Sedana Yoga group, which consists of 10 women, took the initiative to raise pigs in an effort to support the family's economy.

Ni Nengah, head of the group, has one child still in school. After successfully selling her piglets, she is using the loan to buy three more piglets to be sold for pig roll. Pigs are maintained for two months and then are ready to sell. Her profits will be used to buy another pig, so after six months, she is ready to make repayment on the loan. She hopes these efforts will help her husband's income from farming.
