Emanuel Group
In this Group: Francisca , Mauro , Elba , Joaquin Cesar, Maria De Lourdes, Maria Del Socorro , Miriam Deysi
Elba is one of the members of the group called Emanuel. They decided to give it that name since some of the members are Christian and it means "God with us". This group is located in Tierra Blanca where the main source of employment is commerce and it is characterized by its strong heat in the summer.

Elba is 35 years old. She only went to secondary school and she is married to Gerardo, with whom she has two children. She says that she has been working in commerce for 13 years and she started selling gift bags. Little by little, over time and with her family's help, she opened a little business where she sells jewelry, plastic items and toys. The person who motivated her to open this business was a relative who also was a seller who said that people really look for these products. She took a risk and the results were satisfactory for her.

What Elba likes the most about her business is that she is her own boss and has free time to care for her family and do the housework. She also says that she tries to have seasonal products at her business. For example, at Christmas, she stocks up on Christmas baubles and toys. In September, she sells patriotic products such as horns, flags and hats. This is how she attracts her customers.

A loan from VisionFund will help her to invest in a variety of "chácharas" (toys, plastic items, jewelry and gift bags). She hopes that her business will continue to prosper, look more stocked and attract more customers, thus improving her quality of life.

The other members of the group are:
Francisca - flower shop
Mauro - taxi service
Joaquin Cesar- selling clothes
Maria de Lourdes- selling perfume
Maria del Socorro - selling food
Miriam Deysi -pastries
