A loan of $725 helped to cover the maintenance cost of his crops.

Fernando Luigui's story

Fernando is a 32 year old man. He is single and lives in the city of Pucallpa. He is very hard working and enthusiastic and focuses all his efforts on getting ahead.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of economic resources, and because he had to work, Fernando was not able to finish his elementary education which made it impossible to study to become a professional.

By his own initiative, Fernando works as a farmer. He has a small plot of land where he grows plantains and yucca. Samuel works about ten hours a day, every day.

He believes things are going well for him thanks to his dedication and efforts.

Fernando is very thankful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks to the help given he can cover the costs of fertilizer, irrigation and harvest of his crops.

This way, Fernando hopes to have a good sale cycle and he will keep working and making an effort to reach his dream of increasing his crops.
