El Compromiso Group's story

El Compromiso ("The Commitment") is the name of this group that is made up of ten cheerful and entrepreneurial people. Each one of them carries out a business activity: Saira, cosmetic sales; Darwin, repair shop; Victoria, shoe sales; Ana Gabriela, food and shoe sales; Edith, food and cosmetic sales; Teresa, the selling of traditional Mexican corn-based dishes; María Jazmín, nutrition club; Perla, general merchandise; Erika, shoe sales; and Juana, cosmetic sales. They gave their group this name since they have a commitment to improve their families' quality of life and repay their loan on time. Saira is twenty-three years old. She studied at a university and she's married to José. She says that she has been selling cosmetics by catalog for four years. When she began this business, she was still studying at the university and it helped to pay for her education. Due to personal matters, she had to leave the university, but she continues her cosmetic sales since she wants to help her husband with home expenses. In addition, she would like to build her own home in the future.

A loan from VisionFund will help her to buy nail polish, eye shadow, eyeliner, makeup, and perfumes to continue with her cosmetic sales. "Thank you for the opportunity that you're giving to me and my group to receive a loan to promote our small businesses."
