Siranush is a famer from Sisian city of the Syuniq region of Armenia. She lives with her elderly pensioner mother, and two school-age sons (10 and 6 years old). To take care of her family, Siranush is engaged in agriculture and in the cultivation of apples and walnuts. She is the breadwinner of the family and works hard to be able to make ends meet. She sells the agricultural products in the local market.
As the family's needs are growing day by day, Siranush wants to expand her agribusiness to be able to effectively cover her family's needs. A loan of $1,500 will be a great help to this hard-working woman and her family, enabling her to purchase four calves. As this is Siranush’s first loan, it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative of Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who didn’t have access to credit products before because they have no credit history. Siranush and her family highly rely on the good will of the lenders and appreciate their support in collecting the needed loan.
