Rachidatou's Group's story

This group is made up of three people who live in the same neighborhood. The representative of the group is Rachidatou (pictured with her hand raised in the photo) who is 42 years old. Rachidatou did not attend school but learned to sew. She is married to a man named Nawal and together they have four children, all of whom attend school and are in their care. Rachidatou lives with her husband and children, and together the couple provides for the household expenses. In order to accomplish this, Rachidatou has sold dressmaking supplies for twenty years from her shop. As a side business, she also performs sewing services. She stocks up at a market in Benin. In order to expand her business, Rachidatou is partnering with the other members of her group for their first loan from ALIDé.
