Kimhour's story

Kimhour, one of the breadwinners in her family consisting of four schoolchildren, is 42 years old and a resident of Kampong Cham province. To make a living, she sells Khmer noodles and manages a vegetable garden. This is the business that she has been in for 25 years. Kimhour, who has been with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner) for two cycles including this loan, has repaid her past loan with success, which enables her to provide her kids with sufficient food and decent clothes. Moreover, she can keep her kids in school. For this cycle, she is applying for a new loan in order to cover the school fees for her son who wants to hold a bachelor degree in Information Technology. She hopes that she can support her son's need on time so he can fulfill his dream.
