Salamatu's story

Salamatu A. is 36 year old wife and mother of three kids, who are all in school. She has been a food vendor for three years. She prepares and sells kenkey, a local dish prepared from milled maize and eaten with all kinds of sauces and soups. It is a delicacy many Ghanaian enjoy everyday, either as breakfast, lunch, or dinner. She also sells fried rice.

Her business is doing well and she wants to expand her operation to serve more customers. With the loan, she wants to buy more maize grains, vegetables, rice, and assorted meat. She hopes this loan would help her increase her savings to improve her family's wellbeing. She would be very grateful for that assistance.
