A loan of $900 helped to buy cattle.

Cesar's story

Cesar, 36, lives with his wife and children in Yambolon, in a rural area of Pomahuaca. Here, the residents devote their time to cultivating rice, coffee, and cocoa. This place is 2 hours from the city of Jaen, which is located in the Cajamarca region of the northern highlands of Peru.

Cesar raises and sells cattle. He also has a nursery and grows coffee. In this second line of work, he's had some difficulties because his farms have been affected by the Roya fungus.

Cesar is requesting a loan of 2,500 Peruvian soles to buy cattle that he will later sell at a better price. This way, he can continue to generate income for his family.
