A loan of $2,325 helped to buy seeds and mineral fertilizers.

Zohirjon's story

The land is the foundation of business and the main source of income in Tadjikistan. Many people, such as Zohirdjon, farm for a living. For more than 16 years Zohirdjon has been engaged in animal husbandry. He is married and has 3 children, who are still too young to work for a living. So he is the family’s primary breadwinner. For Zokirdjon, agriculture, that is, growing potatoes, carrots, and wheat is not only a source of income, but his passion as well. He loves to work in the field from daybreak until dark. He appreciates every square foot of his land and tells himself that “the land is my meal ticket — thank you!”. He is planning to expand his business, but cannot afford to buy seed and fertilizer. He is asking for a loan in the amount of 11,000 somoni to buy these items. He awaits your kind assistance.
