A loan of $2,000 helped to purchase forage, wheat seeds, and fuel for agricultural machinery and to make previous credit repayments.

Samvel's story

Samvel is an experienced farmer from Krasar village of the Shirak region. He has a large family and lives with his wife, three sons (23, 21 and 20 years old) and two daughters (16 and 4 years old). Samvel's middle son is a labor migrant in Russia; he works there and sends some money to the family to take care of their needs.

To be able to cover the growing needs of his family, Samvel is engaged in cattle breeding, aviculture, breeding sheep, and cultivating wheat. With the help of his sons, he sells the agricultural products in the local market, which is the main source of their income. To get prepared for the winter, Samvel needs to make some investments in his agribusiness. He needs a loan of USD 2000 to purchase forage for the livestock, to buy wheat seeds, to purchase fuel for agricultural machinery, and to make previous credit repayments. Samvel and his big family rely on the goodwill of the lenders and will be grateful for their help in securing this loan.
