A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase more wood for her son's sculpture business.


Chin's story

Chin L., age 46, is married and lives in Phnom Penh. She is a farmer who plants a variety of vegetables, such as cucumbers. Her husband is a fisherman, and he also helps his wife plant vegetables. This couple together is able to earn a living of around US$10 in revenue per day. They have eight children, of whom four are students and three others are self-employed, one as a sculptor and another as a construction foreman. Mrs. L. would like a Kiva loan via CREDIT, Kiva’s Field Partner, of US$1200 to purchase more wood for her son's sculpture business.
