Theresia's story

Theresia is married and a mother of five children. They live in a four-bedroom apartment in Bamenda, Northwest Region of Cameroon. She has faced so many challenges in life, a few of which are inadequate finances to start up a business of her own, sickness, and worst of all, the accident of her son.

With this new loan requested she will buy Koki beans, oil, fowls and feed. She holds a positive view of the business succeeding because she has been doing it for a long time and has regular customers who buy her products. With this business activity, the community will benefit from her moderate selling prices, she will provide food for people at their job sites and provide fowls for consumption, and the waste from fowls will be used as manure to boost yields.

With the profit from this loan, she will cater to her family needs, ensure her children's education, change the roof of her house and increase her capital. She prefers loans from GHAPE because of low interest rates, convenient repayment intervals and also the members are trained in marketing and management skills before the loans are disbursed.
