A loan of $1,225 helped purchase fertilizers, manure and fumigation for her crops.

Maria Isabel's story

Doña María Isabel is married and works in agriculture, she is a hard worker and enterprising at 38 years old. She has 2 children who live at home with her. Her husband is working in the United States and sends money back to his family to cover household expenses. With her children at her side, she has been able to improve her coffee production, being able to get her crops all they need and to also care and protect her plants in order to have a productive harvest. Her fields are located a mere 100 meters from her home where she walks with her children to care for them.
She is currently developing a project that would help her to improve her harvests and to do so, she is asking for fertilizers, manure and fumigation bombs so that her crops are more easily sold and she can truly take advantage of their sale.
Her hopes and dreams are to be able to expand her cultivation, to have more land and to be able to grow a different variety of coffee bean, a variety that is easy to grow because her land is very fertile.
