A loan of $725 helped to finish her studies in the Superior Technical program in Banking.

Selva Tatiana's story

Tatiana is a young woman of 26. She lives in the southern zone of the city of Cochabamba, a zone with restrictions in terms of access to all basic services. She is the oldest of four siblings. Her mother raised them while single, given that their father abandoned them when her last brother was not born. Tatiana's mother is a nurse; therefore she has work shifts that are fairly sacrificing.

To be able to help her family and have better opportunities to get ahead, she entered to study business administration in a private university, but for lack of money she had to abandon her degree. She works as the manager of an internet café, her salary barely covers the costs of her home.

Currently, she is studying the Superior Technical degree of Banking. She is applying for a loan to be able to finish her studies. She has already received work offers from banks, but the main obstacle for hiring her is the lack of an academic degree. When she obtains it she will be able to improve her economic income and help with the economic instability of her younger siblings and her mother.
