A loan of $500 helped to buy food for her cattle and agricultural inputs.

Maria Del Carmen's story

María is married and the mother of three children who live with her. They're older and help her with the household expenses.

María has raised cattle and grown basic grains for 15 years. She did this work because she needed to support her household so her children had good nutrition and an education. She works from 5 a.m. until 3 p.m.

María's going to invest the money in cattle feed and agricultural inputs (herbicide, pesticide, and soil amendments) to expand her business and increase her productivity.

She wants to have more cattle and a bigger field to plant than what she currently has as well as to generate profit to improve her family life and pay off her debt.
