Farhad's story

Farhad is a single man who lives with his own family and began working just after he graduated from school. He has a clothes shop in district 10 of Kabul where he sells imported women's clothing. Farhad has been involved in this business for more than 5 years and has a good number of Afghani and foreign clients.

Farhad has asked for a loan of loan of 50,000 Afghani ($US1,075) over 18 months so that he can increase his Afghani clothing inventory in time for the days of Eid, the 3-day holiday that Muslims around the world celebrate after the long fasting of Ramadan. Farhad's clients like to purchase new designs of clothing for Eid and they have requested that he be ready for them.
