A loan of $275 helped to purchase more palm oil and gari to expand her business.

Adama's story

Meet 40-year-old Adama from Waterloo2, in East End of Freetown. She is married with 2 children. In 2010, Adama established her local food business. She began her business because she wanted to generate her own source of income. She works at the business from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm, 7 days per week. She says that the main challenges to her business are insufficient capital to expand her business and a poor network of roads.

Adama requires a loan in order to purchase more palm oil and gari, a food made from cassava, to expand her business. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to change her status of living and increase her business. In the future, Adama plans to expand her business more. She thanks you for your support.
