A loan of $1,550 helped a member to restock items in his general store like food, drinks, soap, and other popular products..


Lindi Group's story

Mustafa, who is in his late 40s, is married with five children, four of whom are still in school and the last one who is still small. He has been running a general store for three years now and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be Mustafa's tenth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to increase the shop inventory and also bought fast moving and up-to-date products. He is doing very well. He says he is happy and appreciates the loan. He has paid back all his loans successfully. He used the profit to pay for school, cover household expenses and to buy a TV set, a good music system, sofa sets, mattresses, beds and started building his house. He will use this loan to restock items in his general store like food, drinks, soap, and other popular products. He dreams of finishing building his house.

Mustafa will share this loan with his loan group "Lindi" which has five members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
