Wakeela's story

Wakeela, age 51, is a married woman and the mother of four children. She is a hardworking mother who is helping her family by providing services of tailoring in her community. She has been doing it for the past 10 years. She knows very well the techniques of stitching. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community. She earns enough to lead a decent life.

To help her continue operations of her business, she requested a loan of 40,000 PKR [Pakistani rupees] to buy stock of threads in different colors along with packs of zippers and buttons to meet the increasing demand. In addition to repaying the loan, she will use part of the revenues to deal with personal expenses.
