Shahida's story

Shahida is a 51-year-old vigorous lady; she has been stitching clothes for many years. She stitches for the people of her community and uses the income to support her entire family. However, due to lack of availability of funds, she is unable to meet the daily demand of her customers. For this reason, she requested a loan of 40,000 PKR [Pakistani rupees] from Kashf Foundation. She intends to use this loan amount to buy more spools of threads in different colors along with packs of laces, zippers and buttons. It will help her to stitch up more dresses on time. She is in her third loan cycle with a good repayment history.
