A loan of $5,925 helped a member to buy hairbrushes, a hair dryer, and cosmetics.

Flores De Bergel Group's story

The Flores de Bergel village bank is starting its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Senkata regional office. The group has eight members, and Rosse Mary is the chair of the board of directors. The members' business are quite varied and include retail, services, manufacturing, and a beauty salon.

This loan will help these microentrepreneurs. Rosse Mary notes that she joined Pro Mujer a year ago at the invitation of a friend who is a member of the institution. She currently has a beauty salon and says that she studied the trade at a cosmetology school and then decided to open her own business.

She will use this loan as working capital to buy hairbrushes, a hair dryer, and cosmetics from the wholesalers in the department of La Paz and then use them in her business. This business helps her bring in an income to support her family, since she is unmarried and has three children.

When we ask her what she likes about Pro Mujer, she answers that she likes the health care.

In this group: Rosse Mary, Carmen, Branco Adan, Marcia Nickol, Noemi Marielena, Yoset Carmen , Elena, Irma Elizabeth
