Ella estudió y trabaja apoyando en la cría de cerdos a su padre. Debido a que necesitaba generar mayores ingresos para su sustento diario, trabajo y trabajo para ahorrar un poco de dinero y de esta manera pudo abrir su propio negocio vendiendo golosinas y otros. Actualmente su negocio ha crecido pero necesita invertir más dinero y así tenga un negocio sólido para su sustento. Entre sus planes futuros Leydi planea sacar un nuevo crédito para concluir sus estudios.
