A loan of $1,600 helped to buy working tools and input (scissors, a hair dryer, an iron for hair, hair treatments, dyes, and others).

Ana Paola's story

Ana is a single mother of two children who are 5 and 2 years old. She has her own business where she works in a beauty salon. She acquired this approximately 8 months ago, as a result of a change in ownership. The owner gave her the option to pay for the total value of the property in monthly installments. She works here Monday through Saturday, applying her knowledge she acquired from different training courses. She has the advantage of being in a good location where there is a busy street and she can attract new customers. In this way, she can generate economic resources to meet the basic needs for her home.

Ana is a very active, happy, and charismatic woman who is passionate about her work. She is always looking for new alternatives that will allow her to advance in meeting her objectives. It is because of this that she discovered the loan options which support an increase in working capital.

She will use this money to buy working tools and input (scissors, a hair dryer, an iron for hair, hair treatments, dyes, and others). This will permit her to provide a better service to her clients, especially in the Christmas season. At this time of year, the requests for services increase because generally people want to look good on these special occasions.

This will increase her income dramatically. Ana has stated that her principal objective is to continue to better her technical skills and knowledge to transform her business to a higher level. She also wants to be more competent in her market to guarantee a better income. With this, she can provide an excellent education and quality of life for her children.
