A loan of $400 helped to harvest his crops; he will pay for labor to harvest his corn and he will pay to transport the corn from his field to the place where it is prepared.

José Anselmo's story

José is 29 years old. He went to school through the seventh grade when, due to a lack of financial resources, he was not able to continue with his education and he started working in farming. He lives with his parents and two siblings. His parents rely on him because they are both elderly.

José has been doing this work for 17 years, as he learned it from his father. He works from six in the morning until twelve noon.

The loan he is requesting is for his harvest. He will pay for labor to harvest his corn and he will also pay to transport the corn from his field to the place where it is prepared.

In the future he plans to have food for the entire year. He also needs to sell part of his harvest so he will have some income, which will allow him to have a better quality of life and help his parents.
