Mayranush is from Jermuk city of Vayots Dzor region. She lives with her husband. The two of them work hard to be able to earn a living. Mayranush works as a librarian at the school library, and her husband works in the private sector. However, they cannot afford a living based on their salaries alone. To be able to meet her family's needs, Mayranush is engaged in beekeeping. Her husband helps her sell the honey in the local market. To be able to run the beekeeping business in a sustainable way, Mayranush needs a loan of 1,500 USD to purchase eight new beehives. With the help of the loan, her agribusiness will become more productive. As this is Mayranush’s first loan, it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative of Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who haven't had access to credit products before, because they have no credit history. Mayranush and her husband will be very thankful to the lenders for their good will and support in providing the needed loan.
