A loan of $1,175 helped to pay for grocery items, toiletries and beverages needed in her business.

Mary Grace's story

Mary Grace is very thankful for the financial assistance extended to her. She was able to buy more grocery items for her variety store, which she has been running for four years now. Her loan is also helpful for educating her child. Her income from the business assisted with their everyday household expenses. She and her husband are working hard to provide for their family.

She would like to apply for another 50,000 PHP loan to buy groceries, toiletries, beverages, and other products to add in her inventory. The more items displayed at the store, the better. More items to sell will result in greater profit. Her profits from the business will definitely help sustain her family’s daily needs and her child’s education expenses. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Mary Grace hopes that her business will be more successful, and she dreams to give her child a good life and education. She meets with her co-fellowship* members every week to share stories of her life and business and to also draw strength and inspiration from the word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
