Jane's story

Jane is 24 years old, and provides for two members of her family. She has been in the hotel (restaurant) business for the last two years, earning a monthly income of 2,800 Kenyan shillings (KES). She operates her business in Kipsebwo, which is served by Kenya Agency for Development of Enterprise and Technology (KADET) Kapsabet office. She has borrowed 20,000 KES and plans to buy stock such as rice, flour and cooking fat for her hotel. She will use the profits from the hotel business to repay her loan and her dream is to open a boutique.
