A loan of $625 helped to buy sheep.

Patila's story

Patila is 64 years old and a widow. After the death of her husband she raises six children by herself, and also manages her own business. Patila has secondary education. As a main source of income for her family, Patila works with livestock breeding, after having started 20 years ago with the purchase of livestock for 5,000 som (KGS). Thanks to Patila's persistent work, her farm currently has one dairy cow and ten sheep. The monthly income is 5,000 som (KGS).

With an aim to further develop her business, Patila turned to the microfinance bank "Bai Tushum & Partners" for a loan in the amount of 30,000 som (KGS) for the purchase of sheep to increase the number of livestock. Patila plans to invest the income from the loan in further increasing the number of household animals.
