A loan of $575 helped to stock up on merchandise like pants, shorts, shirts, dresses, skirts, towels, underwear, and bedding.

Felix Alberto's story

Felix, who is 61 years old, is married and has two adult children. He is from Leon, which is located in the western area of the country. He is known to be hardworking and responsible, and for his drive to improve himself. Ever since he was very young, he worked in order to help with home expenses, due to lacking financial resources.

Thanks to his effort and his will to get ahead, he has a business selling clothing, cosmetics, and food items, such as pants, shorts, shirts, dresses, skirts, towels, underwear, bedding, rouge, lipstick, body lotions, rice, beans, matches, and juice. His business is located in his home and he also sells door-to-door to regular and occasional customers. He dedicates about eight hours a day to his business, offering his products.

The purpose of this loan is to invest in working capital by purchasing merchandise to stock his business so that he can earn a higher income in the near future. Felix appreciates the help Kiva lenders offer people with limited financial resources from poor countries like Nicaragua in order for them to earn a decent living.
