A loan of $850 helped a member to purchase cloth and jewelry to sell.

Les Sœurs Unies Group's story

The group LES SŒURS UNIES comprises three persons who reside in the same district. The group's representative, Ablawa Léa Claire (with her hand raised in the photo), is 53 years old and married to a man named Sylvain. The couple have four children, all in school. She lives with her husband and children. The household expenses are covered by her and her husband. To do so, Ablawa Léa Claire has been selling cloth and jewelry out of her home for twenty years. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

With the goal of bolstering her business, Ablawa Léa Claire joined with the other members of the group LES SŒURS UNIES to request a second loan from ALIDé. The previous one was indeed paid back.
