Torre Fuerte I Group's story

The communal association “TORRE FUERTE I” will be starting its fourth cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Villa Tejada Centre. It is made up of eight members and is run by a board of directors of which Alicia is the Secretary. The businesses which the members of the communal association run are varied and among them are: sewing skirts and blankets, furniture shop, cosmetics shop, natural products sales, mechanic, food sales and milk sales.

The loan they will take out will benefit small businesswomen of which Alicia is a member. She says she joined Pro Mujer three cycles ago after being invited by a friend who is a member of the institution.

Currently she has a business selling cosmetics. She says she started this business on the advice of a friend who was in the same line of business. Now it is going very well for her which is why she wants to increase her stock.

The loan she will take out now is to increase capital to buy a cosmetics which she will buy from the wholesale distributors in the city of El Alto and will later sell in her sales outlet. This type of work helps her to generate income to support her home as much as possible, since she is single and has 3 children. When she is asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she replies that she likes the training on loans and health and the service provided by the staff.
