Ibtissam is a 53-year-old widow and mother of two children. She is sacrificing her whole life for the sake of providing them with the best standard of living. Ibtissam works as a housekeeper. She provides cleaning services to several homes and offices, which has been her only source for living since her husband passed away. She works hard to increase her income, in order to provide her children with the things they need and request.
Ibtissam is acquiring a portion of this loan, in order to start a new business of her own to improve her family's living. She will start selling clothes from her house. She will also work on visiting expected customers, to distribute her products easily.
As for the future, she hopes that one day she'll be capable of opening her own clothes-selling shop and able to quit providing cleaning services to strangers. Ibtissam is the lady with the green top, at the right side of the image, Hanan is at the center, wearing black, and Rimonda is the lady at the left side.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
