George's story

George is a 25-year-old married man. He lives with his wife, two infant children, mother and grandmother in a small village of Mtskheta district. The family runs a small shop, which is placed near their house. They sell groceries and food stuffs, such as sugar, flour and so on. This is the only source of income for the family, which is not enough to cover everyday costs. George decided to purchase a car and start a taxi business. The Start Up loan, which is a joint initiative with Kiva and Credo, enables him to get a loan of $2700 to purchase a car. When the car is purchased, he will serve people as a taxi driver and will be able to increase his income. With the increased income he will provide a better future for his children.
