Kusayini's story

Kusayini is a married man, aged 36 with four children. He lives on the outskirts of Kyotera town with his family. His children are ten, eight, five and one years. He is a farmer who deals in agriculture, specifically coffee and he has been doing this business since 2007. He supplements his income with produce which he harvests seasonally.

Kusayini started this business in order to earn a living, and he has acquired this loan facility so that he can buy manure and pesticides for his coffee plantation. He says he sells his agricultural products to traders from city. His hope is to be the leading supplier of coffee in his area. The challenges he faces are a of lack of limited capital and unpredictable changes which destroys crops. He describes himself as hardworking and honest man and asks lenders to reduce interest rates.
