A loan of $1,600 helped to buy clothes at wholesale.

Jonnathan Andrés's story

Jonnathan, 26, is married with no children yet. He’s worked since the age of 13 for he was born into a very humble family. He’s worked in construction, selling lottery tickets in the street and merchandise door-to -door along various streets in the city. As he grew, he got the opportunity of entering university and to increase his income he taught mathematics and physics classes.

Thanks to his drive, perseverance, effort and dedication he was able to become an independent merchant and with his wife opened their own clothing store (see photo alongside his wife). He works there every day from 9am until 9pm and generates income this way sufficient to provide sustenance at home and cover some basic needs.

He’s currently asking for a loan to buy merchandise like jeans, blouses and t-shirts at wholesale to stock up for the Christmas season which is when sales increase and his profit margin is larger. He’ll also be able to meet customer needs and satisfy their wants.

Jonnathan states that he’d like to continue working with much effort and dedication to reach his dream of enlarging his store and positioning it in the marketplace in such a way that it becomes more profitable and sustainable over time to ensure economic stability so he and his wife can enjoy better quality of life.
