A loan of $1,000 helped to pay for construction materials (sand, cement) and also for manpower, because they are working on the infrastructure of the community’s school.

Mario De Jesús's story

Mario is a young man of 30 years. He is a well-known and hardworking person in his area, dedicated to serving his community. He lives with his parents, who are somewhat elderly. His struggle is to be better every day so that he doesn’t disappoint his father, as his dad is proud and magnificent as the father of the family.

Mario, thanks to his father’s efforts, was able to complete a degree in education, to which he dedicates the majority of his time. He teaches in the community and in this way puts his acquired knowledge into practice.

The loan will be invested in the purchase of construction materials (sand, cement) and also in manpower, as they are working on the infrastructure of the community’s school. In this way, conditions for the children in their class schedules will improve.

He says that in the future, he is thinking of buying a newer car than the one he has, and also being able to help his father to harvest corn next year. He will do this with the help of the loan that he is requesting from Fundación Campo.
