A loan of $300 helped to buy a cooler, corn, and a refrigerator, so that he can keep the ingredients for the pupusas, cakes, and other perishable products.

Lucio's story

Lucio, age 35, studied through the sixth grade. He is married, and together with his wife he has a traditional food business (pupusas and cakes). He is the father of four children; all the children live with him. It was through his own initiative that the business selling pupusas, cakes, etc., began. It is located 100 meters from the house where he lives with his family. He walks to his business every day. His spouse helps him. The hours they are open to customers are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. With the loan, he plans to buy a cooler, corn, and a refrigerator so that he can keep the ingredients for the pupusas, cakes, and other perishable products that need refrigeration, such as drinks. In the future, he plans that with his needs covered by this loan, he will improve his business and get better earnings so that his children can continue to study to become professionals.
