A loan of $725 helped to buy beans, rice, oil and sugar.

Silvia Elena's story

Silvia Elena’s a very hardworking, dedicated woman who continues selling prepared food like Nacatamales [Nicaraguan-style tamales] in addition to her main job which is selling basic grains at home.

She used previous loans to make improvements to her house’s infrastructure but she feels that the most important thing is to invest in the business because it’s her only source of income since she was widowed some years ago.

She’s asking for the loan to buy the following supplies by the quintal to sell to her customers daily: beans, rice, oil and sugar.
