Oneness Group's story

In the photo are members of the “Oneness” group. They are small-scale businesspeople based in Koidu, a city in eastern Sierra Leone. They are requesting a loan of 800,000 Sierra Leonean Leones (SLL) for each in order to expand their respective businesses, make more profit and consequently improve on their standard of living.

The featured leader of this group is Patrick. Patrick is age 33; he was born in Tankoro in eastern Sierra Leone. His wife is a businesswoman, too. His three children are attending primary and secondary schools.

For six years now, Patrick has been selling bags, belts, etc. With this loan, he is going to buy a large quantity of bags, belts, etc. to add to his business.
