A loan of $500 helped to buy chicken, vegetables, and corn wholesale, among other items.

Alba Marina's story

Alba is a humble, 44-year-old woman. She is a native of Camoapa, Boaco and is married with two children. She is a tradeswoman, and makes a living selling food (mainly corn tortillas) and soup. She began this business with the little money she made selling door-to-door, which helped to increase her sales. Today, she also makes an income selling milk. Her husband and children support her in this difficult business. Her next goal is to redesign her business and to improve the attention she gives to her customers.

She is requesting a loan to buy the ingredients she needs in order to sell her food, including: chicken, vegetables, and corn wholesale, among other items. She hopes to be able to offer higher quality foods with these ingredients.

She believes that this financing would be a great help in increasing her sales; increased sales would allow her to hire staff and to ultimately offer better attention and service to her customers.
