Arame's Group's story

This group of eight women is part of a 'banc villageois' that was created on March 21, 2001. The women are joined in solidarity and work in small-scale commerce in general. Ms. Arame, who is at the right in the photo, is the group's representative. She is a married mother of four boys and two girls. She is 48 years old and has been active in selling dried fish and dried oysters for several years. She is going to purchase 100 kg of dried fish and 40 kg of oysters. The profits will be used to help cover day-to-day expenses and the children's schooling costs.
