A loan of $450 helped a member to buy three types of local pigs.

Tukad Kemiri Group's story

Tukad Kemiri group is comprised of suburban residents who have a trading business and raise livestock. One is raising pigs. The group has five members and received a loan of five million IDR. Ni Nyoman, the head of the group, is using her portion of the loan to buy three types of local pigs, which will be sold to pig bolsters (or roasters). The pigs will be maintained for two months, and then sold again. Profits from the sale will be set aside and the capital will be used to buy additional pigs. Ni Nyoman hopes this effort will go smoothly so that she can realize her dream, which is to make her kitchen more spacious.
