Eugenio Espejo (Cuenca) Group's story

The Eugenio Espejo communal bank is made up of 6 women who live in the vicinity of the city of Cuenca. This city is made up of hilly geography, which gives it wonderful landscapes. It has four rivers; its historic center was named a World Heritage Site in December 1999. The members are friendly, gentle women who have great charisma and still maintain the culture and traditions of their people. The cuisine of this sector is very captivating for those who visit. One of the members of this group is Yuri, who is taking out her first loan alongside her friends and colleagues of the Eugenio Espejo communal bank. She likes her loan group because they are all friendly and they always help in any circumstance. Yuri, 26, is married and does not have children yet. Her husband works as a private employee. The house they live in is rented. Yuri has been making her living running a child care service out of her house for the last year and a half. She works from Monday to Friday all day or until the mothers pick up their children. She is going to invest her loan in the purchase of teaching materials for the children and therefore teach them to develop their intelligence and motor skills. Her goal is to have a restaurant since she likes to cook a lot. The small photo is of a member who could not be present when the group photo was taken.
