Carmen Eloina's story

Carmen is making her first loan request along with her friends and colleagues from the Futuro para un Bienestar loan group. She lives in Cuenca, a city with beautiful countryside, and its historic center jealously guards the city's history. Its people still uphold the culture and traditions of its cities.

Carmen is 36 years old, she is married and has two children aged 12 and 15 as a result of her partnership, who are studying at a secondary school in the city. Her husband moved away to seek a better future for his family. Carmen doesn't have her own home which is why she rents.

For the last three years, Carmen has been working in a college pub where she sells a variety of products. She works from Monday to Friday. Carmen will invest the money from her loan in the purchase of fizzy drinks, fruit juices, chips, biscuits and so on to stock her bar. Her aim is to grow more in the business.
