A loan of $1,500 helped to purchase three calves, to buy some forage for them, and to pay for harvesting services.

Vahan's story

Vahan is a farmer from the Horom village of the Shirak region. He lives with his wife, son, and daughter-in-law. Vahan's son works in the village school. The salary that he gets there is so low that he cannot cover the needs of the family.

Vahan is engaged in agriculture and in cultivation of wheat, potato, and alfalfa. Farming is an important source of income for the family. They sell the agricultural products in the local market. To be able to meet the growing needs of his family, Vahan needs a loan of $1,500 to purchase three calves, to buy some forage for them, and to pay for harvesting services.

This investment in his agribusiness will make it function in a more sustainable way. Vahan and his family rely on the good will of the lenders and will be thankful to them for their support in funding the needed loan.
