Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $650 helped to pay tuition for her son.

Munira's story

Munira is a nursery-governess at a kindergarten in the city of Khujand. She is 39 years old. She is married and has three children. Munira has been working in a kindergarten for about 10 years. She loves children and therefore chose this profession. Her husband is currently living far away from the family. He was forced to leave the family and go abroad to work and provide for the family.

Munira's eldest son is a student. He is studying in his second year at the Polytechnic University. The two younger children are still in school.

This year, Munira was not able to save enough money to pay her son's tuition. She is now in a difficult position. She urgently needs to pay for her son's contract before his exams, or he will not get admission into his exams. The only solution to this quandary that Munira sees is to get a loan. With this aim, she turned to MDO Humo.
