Batnasan's story

Batnasan is 40 years old. She lives with her husband and 4 children, who are between the ages of 3 and 21, in a ger, which is a traditional nomadic yurt, in the Uvs province of Mongolia. Her husband, Lhamaa, has been helping her at a grocery store business in a small booth in the local market. Now he wants to start his own business of animal pelt retail and supply to big manufacturers. Batnasan's older two children are university students and her younger two children attend local school and kindergarten, respectively.

Batnasan has been working as saleswoman in the local market for years and has a lot of experience. She basically runs the business and, when she is able to afford to open a grocery store of her own, she will be starting her own business. She is now requesting loan of 5,000,000 MNT to purchase animal pelts and other inventory to let her husband start his own business. She is hardworking, caring and very supportive of her husband.
