La Union 1, 2, 3 & 4 Group's story

Maribel is the coordinator of her group, La Union (the union). This group consists of 20 micro-entrepreneurs located in the city of San Pedro de Macoris, where Maribel makes her home in a simple structure with her two children and long-term partner. Her most difficult challenge has been to raise her children.

Maribel has sold clothing for around four years, having started the business with her own savings. Now retailing a variety of products, she is excited to be taking her second loan with Esperanza International, with which she will purchase clothes.

Maribel will reinvest the profits in her enterprise and save some for any family needs that may arise. She also wants to save and have a beautiful and safe home. She thanks all of you for your support.

In this group: Maribel, Cloudette, Ezequier, Yesenia, Elena, Osni, Ney, Mercilia, Ramona, Maria, Filomena, Rosa, Bentura, Fora, Miguel, Urbano*, Basilia, Sonice, Claumene, Nathacha
