Irène's Group's story

This is a group of three women who all live in the same neighbourhood. The group representative is Irène (she has her hand raised in the photo). Irène is 38 years old and did not attend school. She is married to Inoussa and they live with their only child, who does not yet attend school. In order to contribute to the expenses of their household, Irène prepares and sells "Akpan", corn patties that are dipped in sauce. She buys her supplies at a market in Bénin. This will be the second loan for Irène and the other members of her group. They have requested this loan from the field partner, Alidé, to strengthen their businesses and retain their customers. Their previous loan has been fully repaid.

In this group: Irène , Séraphine, Romaine
